Développé pour le grand fabricant de solutions lumineuses Osram, E-ntancle est un simple fil électrique complété d’une petite diode lumineuse. Son designer croate Ivan Santic (studio Math3r) dit s’être inspiré des fines antennes des escargots… Sympa !

Light-emitting diode is a new and innovative lighting solution. It has many advantages due to low power consumption and smaller heat generation. That all together has finally provided us with an opportunity to try new things and products not possible before.
This approach led to the product where form and function finally meet together. Essence of light is hidden both in the shape and material. The way the light travels through, makes the material look transparent and therefore special. It is slightly blurred and refractive with caustics in effect.

Base of the product is shape itself. It can easily be shaped and keep the balance. The upper part of tentacle has integrated LED which by capacitor technology represents a switch itself. Soft touch of the finger on outer shell of t(e)ntacle turns the light on and off. Tentacles are eyes of the snail in the dark.
