Original description

A personal project exploring a simple but fully functional task light. I had seen similar lamp architectures before, but felt there was more that could be done functionally and visually. A linear LED strip can illuminate individual sections with varying intensities to achieve the same functionality and localized light options offered by more complicated lamps with several mechanical hinges. Visually, the simple shape also creates some unique opportunities to explore distinct color, material, and finish options.
