Work it harder, better, faster, make it over. This sentence from the song of the French band Daft Punk is certainly a good definition for Guilherme Torres. In fact, the sentence has become his motto and it has been tattooed on his arm and written on the walls of his studio.
His professional career started very early. When he was still a teenager, he worked as a designer in an engineering office where he acquired the knowledge in this area and also the technical language. Considered a world citizen and having a style of his own, hi works have been widely recognized and he has won different prizes, which, according to him is the result of hard work.
Guilherme has a busy schedule who he divides between Sao Paulo and Parana, where he works on a range of activities, from residential and commercial projects to furniture design, one of his passions. He has been working for Micasa, with exclusivity.
Guilherme Torres has a Degree in Architecture, from the University Unifil (1998) and an MBA in Management, from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas FGV (1999).
Studio Guillherme Torres was founded in 2001 by the architect and designer Guilherme Torres. Suspended volumes, as well as slender and marked lines are the office’s trade marks. Guilherme is always investigating the limits of the materials that he works with in his projects. The presence of rustic elements in residence projects, absolute white in some commercial projects and lots of colors in his furniture line is the proof of his versatility, free from monotony and commonplace.
