Biographie
Having studied at the Hampstead School of Art, Central St. Martins and London Metropolitan University’s Sir John Cass Department of Art, Media and Design, Mahtab has acquired the academic skills to perfectly complement her exquisite natural abilities. Mahtab’s attention to the finest of details, focus on her original ideas, and ceaseless strive for absolute quality are all the hallmarks of a true artist at work.
« Fashion, combined with the ability to impress one’s own ever changing and evolving demands, and exceeding the aspirations of the client, are major inspirations for me. I like to explore both the artificial and the natural elements of materials that I use, gelling hand-made with technology, to merge their inherent beauties, and, ultimately, to ensure my creations leave a lasting impression. »
Coming from a Persian background, Mahtab has successfully created a fusion of contemporary high fashion design and wearability from East to West. Her unique designs and use of classic and innovative materials including; silicon, plastic ceramics, glass, fabrics, pearls, precious and semi-precious stones and metals, culminate in creations that deserve to adorn both your skin and wardrobe.

Art has played a significant role in Mahtab’s jewellery designs, as she has drawn inspiration from her beautifully formed sculptures and paintings to produce hand-made jewellery creations that are as innovative, as they are exacting and exciting. All materials come from reputable sources who adhere to the same principles as Mahtab. All stones are certified, where relevant, and raw materials can be traced back to the dealer. In addition, Mahtab is a great supporter of local businesses and minimising any waste – everyone has a personal responsibility.
