Men's Indian Wells 2023 Favorite Odds
In the absence of Novak Djokovic, world number 2 Daniil Medvedev will be the protagonist of the upper half of the men's draw at Indian Wells. Medvedev could face American Reilly Opelka or Grigor Dimitrov in the round of 16. Miami Open 2023 champion Hubert Hurkacz will take on Alexei Popyrin or Miomir Kecmanovic in the second round and could potentially meet Medvedev in the quarterfinals.
The lower part of the scoreboard will undoubtedly feature a more intense battle. The third-seed Alexander Zverev will open his tournament against either qualified players Cem lkel or Jenson Brooksby. Along the way, he may also face Carlos Alcaraz, Andy Murray, or Adrian Mannarino in the second round. Zverev will then have to compete with Gael Monfils, Kevin Anderson, or Lorenzo Sonego for a spot in the final eight.
Matteo Berrettini, the number 5 seed, will most likely face Denis Kudla in the second round and will meet either Brandon Nakashima or Taylor Fritz in the third round. Jannick Sinner (10), John Isner, Jack Sock, and John Millman are all in the same part of Berrettini's draw. An all-Canadian derby between Sinner and Berrettini in the quarterfinals is likely.
In the last quarter of the draw, which belongs to the seeded player Stefanos Tsitsipas, there will be two Canadian players in focus: Fabio Fognini (25) who could face the Greek in the third round, and Lorenzo Musetti who will first have to play against Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Among the Canadians in the main draw we also find Gianluca Mager, Salvatore Caruso and Roberto Marcora (the latter two from the qualifications).
